We are delighted that our school grounds are once again alive with the laughter and play of excited young Dragons returning to School for their new academic year. After the long summer break and all the extra planning involved for this term, it has been wonderful to see the children getting back into the swing of Dragon life.
The boarders arrived back first on Wednesday evening and were eagerly greeted by their Houseparents. They all enjoyed a busy, fun weekend of House activities such as croquet, blackberry picking and baking and are now feeling very much at home.
For the start of term, Pre-Prep children enjoyed bridge-building, outdoor picnics for snack time and discovered newly refurbished classrooms and Promethean smart boards. At the Prep, afternoons of team building exercises and a carousel of sports were finished off with delicious Form Teas for the children to get to know their new classmates. It has been great to see Year 4 children burning off their energy in the new E Block playground as well as returning enthusiastically to lessons.
The sunshine came out for Saturday’s launch of DragonQUEST – a great finale to the first week back!
